Thank you for considering us for your custom stationery design! We are excited to work with you to create the perfect bespoke stationery for your unique event.

Palm & Lotus has opened consultation slots for 2024 weddings. Please note that we have also recently updated our intake procedures. Please contact us early to ensure your preferred appointment slot and event date.

The average Palm & Lotus custom design couple invests between $1,700 and $3,500 CAD for invitations and between $950 and $3,500 CAD for custom day-of stationery (signage, menus, etc.).

Our online collection provides high-quality stationery design at a lower price point.

HOW TO BOOK A DISCOVERY CALL:

Our clients begin the process with the completion of a 15-minute, complimentary discovery call. Since custom stationery is not within every couple’s budget or timeline, in this call we will explore your budget, your vision, and your timeline to see how our services can meet your unique needs. Choose either the invitation or day-of stationery appointment, depending on which you will be starting on with us!

MOVING FORWARD:

If our design services can be tailored to meet your needs, we will schedule a one-hour consultation either in person or on video chat, to work out the specifics of the stationery you require. Based on the information gathered at this consultation, you will be provided with a quote for stationery items that we discussed.

Are you a wedding or event planner who is looking to work with us to make beautiful custom stationery for your clients? We are so excited to work with you!

We limit the number of 2024 /2025 events that we are able to accomodate. Since we operate on a first-booked, first-served basis, booking early maximizes your client’s opportunity to get their prefered date. Please ensure that you allow enough time to get things done right for your event.

We have procedures that are required for all planners to follow when booking a consultation or an order on behalf of their clients. We do not take consultation and quote requests through Instagram/Facebook direct messages, text, phone calls or email. Please follow the steps outlined in the tabs below to contact us for booking or availability requests.

TIME

Ensure that you have allocated enough time.
INVITATIONS
: Min. 6 months prior
DAY-OF STATIONERY: Min. 2 months prior

CONSULT

Schedule the consultation on behalf of your client by selecting one of the planner options on our services list.

BOOK

Once you receive the quote, ensure that the order gets booked. We will not start designing without:

• the down payment
• signed contract
• text information required

Deadlines

Planners understand and agree that they are responsible for ensuring that client-provided information is submitted by the established deadlines.

Missed deadlines will result in delayed in-hand dates.

BOOKING PROCESS
Need Rentals?

We have curated a catalogue of rental items for those looking to avoid buying stationery and signage items for their event.

To ensure you get your preferred items and dates please follow the steps below.

RESERVE

Use our online system to reserve the requested items.

BOOK

Wait for the order estimate email from Palm & Lotus. This email estimate will include:
• the list of available items
• payment options for the rental cost + a 25% deposit
• a rental contract to sign

PICK UP

Pick up all items on specified date, or choose a delivery option for an additional fee.

RETURN

Return all items—including all packaging—undamaged by specified date and time, or choose a delivery option for an additional fee.

Deposit

Receive the 25% deposit return if all items were returned on time and undamaged.

The cost of any damages or late fees will be deducted from this  deposit.

we know that when it comes to custom stationery, many couples have no idea where to begin.

Palm & Lotus is pleased to offer two levels of design options to help couples create the perfect stationery for their special event—Custom and Semi-Custom.

CUSTOM DESIGN

We love helping couples express themselves using paper, typography and colour!

Discovery Call

Our clients begin the process with the completion of a 15-minute, complimentary discovery call. Since custom stationery is not within every couple’s budget or timeline, in this call, we will explore your budget, your vision, and your timeline to see how our services can meet your unique needs.

If our design services can be tailored to meet your needs, we will ask you to fill out a pre-consultation form. Once that form has been submitted, we will schedule a one-hour consultation either in person or on video chat, to work out the specifics of the stationery you require.

Consultation

At your consultation, we will explore the overall design, paper, colour, and printing options available within the agreed-upon budget established at our discovery call.

Quoting

Within one business week of our meeting, couples will receive an estimate that breaks down the costs for design time, printing, assembly, shipping and handling (if required), and GST. The clients will then select the options that fit within their budget to create the package that works best for them. Once the estimate is approved, clients will receive a contract to be returned with a 50% down payment before any design work is started.

Custom design services start at $1,700 CAD depending on quantities, materials and printing processes selected by the client. The average Palm and Lotus custom design couple invests between $1,700 and $3,500 CAD for invitations and between $1,450 and $3,500 CAD for day-of stationery (signage, menus, etc.).

Designing

After submitting the signed contract, the 50% down payment, and all the required text/information, clients will receive a digital proof with up to 3 concepts for their review. At this time we ask clients to choose their favourite design and to provide us with feedback and any minor text/design changes. We will revise the artwork and provide an updated proof. After this point, the design time for any further changes, will be documented and be applied on the final invoice at $120/hour.

Approving

When clients have received their final proof and signed off, verifying that all information (names, dates, times and spelling etc.) is correct, clients have the option of requesting a sample print for an additional cost (printing method and material availability dependent).

Once written approval of the proofs has been given, the balance of the invoice is due before the order is sent to print, and no edits to the order will be made once the printing process has begun.

Production

Depending on the printing process, size and assembly time, most orders will take between 3-6 weeks to complete. Need it sooner? Rush printing and assembly options could be available for an additional fee.

 

Collection Design

We are thrilled that you have chosen to go with one of our collection designs to announce your special day!

Ordering

To order, navigate to the collection design page and identify the design that best suits them. customizable options can be found listed below the design options.

Once the design and desired options have been identified, the request for estimate should be placed, identifying the different customizations requested. Once the request for estimate has been submitted, we will put together a complete estimate for all the items identified.

Once the client pays a non-refundable retainer, signs the design contract, and provides all the required informaton, we will begin the design process.

Customizing

Clients should include any information required for their event.  note: All design orders will be populated with the exact information provided. Clients should ensure that all wording provided is correct. Palm & Lotus is not responsible for any errors contained in the supplied information.

Minor changes vs major changes

Minor changes apply to items that do not affect the structure of the design.

These include:

  1. name and personal text changes.
  2. colour changes

Major changes apply to items that affect the structure of the design

These include:

  1. changing the font for the text
  2. custom colour choices
  3. moving and/or removing elements from the design

Proofing

Each design from the collection comes with 2 complimentary proofs for minor changes. Any major changes or additional proofs will incur additional design costs.

Approving

Once clients have received their final proof and signed off, verifying that all information (names, dates, times and spelling etc.) are correct, the remainder of the invoice balance will be required prior to sending any order to print. Once the order is sent to print and no edits to the order can be made after entering the printing process.

Production

Most orders will take between 3-5 weeks to complete. Need it sooner? Rush printing and shipping options are available for an additional fee.
