RES 18 / 19 Season

Seasonal Campaign System & Promotional Design

intro.

Navigating a Sea of Possibilities

Design is all about storytelling, and when the narrative is as rich as Canadian culture, the challenge becomes one of capturing that essence in every graphic. Recently, we had the pleasure of working with the Richard Eaton Singers, whose dynamic 2018-2019 season called for a unified visual approach. Their season was packed with four self-produced concerts showcasing Canadian-inspired music, along with various smaller events. The challenge? Ensuring every graphic resonated with a cohesive, thematic identity.

This season wasn’t just about the music

This season was about a journey through Canada’s cultural tapestry. With multiple events on the calendar, each piece of collateral needed to echo the same visual language. The task was to create graphics that felt unified yet versatile enough to capture the spirit of each performance. The key was finding a common theme that could bridge the diversity of events and tell the story of Canadian inspiration in one sweeping, memorable stroke.

We developed a flexible campaign system that translated the shore-to-sea concept into a series of cohesive visual executions. Through controlled variation in imagery, composition, and layout, each piece reflected a different perspective while maintaining a consistent visual language across all materials. The system ensured that the campaign remained unified while allowing for creative expression throughout the season.

Building a Campaign Through Visual Narrative

The campaign system provided a consistent visual framework across the full season while allowing for variation through a structured narrative approach. Alternating perspectives—from shore to sea and back again—created visual interest across materials while maintaining a clear and cohesive connection between each piece.
