Communication & Engagement Design
intro.
Evolving a legacy campaign into a future-focused visual system
With the initial phase of their capital campaign complete, Central Baptist Church was ready to move into a new chapter. Our role was to create a refreshed design language that reflected this transition—honouring past progress while creating space for future development. This included updated brand assets, a clean and inviting print piece, and a website to support the next phase of engagement.
the challenge.
Tilling the soil
Although the church had a recognizable logo from their three-year capital campaign, the supporting visuals had become outdated. With further fundraising still needed for continued building work, Central Baptist Church required an updated look that could reignite momentum and feel aligned with their expanding, multi-location community.
We collaborated closely with church leadership to define a new design vision rooted in growth and connection. A refreshed colour palette was introduced, offering greater flexibility for future communications. Minimal, single-line iconography reinforced the themes of simplicity and unity across locations. The result was a versatile and approachable visual identity system, delivered through a cohesive print piece and a supporting website.

Designing for Clarity
The design work provided a clear and accessible visual framework across a range of communication materials, helping to present information in a way that was easy to understand and navigate for a broad audience. Each piece was structured to support clarity while maintaining consistency across formats and touchpoints.

Central Baptist Church
Central Baptist Church in Edmonton is a vibrant multi-site congregation dedicated to following Jesus together. With locations at Connors Hill, Southeast, and Sherwood Park, as well as an online worship community, the church serves a diverse and growing fellowship across the region.
Understanding the importance of unity and representation across all sites, our initiative aimed to create a cohesive visual identity that embodies the collective spirit of the entire Central Baptist Church community. By developing design elements that reflect the unique characteristics of each location while maintaining a unified brand, we ensured that every site feels equally valued and represented in the church’s overarching mission.
